Koh Rong has no roads and no cars — just sandy paths between the jungle-covered interior and a ring of beaches, reached by a two-to-three-hour ferry from Sihanoukville. Koh Toch, right by the main pier, has the liveliest beach and easiest access to boat trips and diving; Sok San, on the island's quieter west side, and Prek Svay, on the east, trade that convenience for long, near-empty stretches of sand.
The five stays we have verified here are simple beach bungalows rather than architect tiny houses — some open-air and basic, others with private bathrooms and space for up to six, spread across Koh Toch, Sok San and Prek Svay. On calm, moonless nights the shallows around parts of the island glow with bioluminescent plankton when disturbed, one of the island's best-known draws after dark.
November to April is the dry season and by far the easiest time to visit; May to October brings the monsoon, with heavier rain and rougher ferry crossings. Our verified selection here spans three of the island's beaches — a useful spread if you want quiet over convenience, or the other way round.

Where in Cambodia are the verified bungalows?
On Koh Rong, an island off Sihanoukville, spread across three beaches: Koh Toch (the main pier area), Sok San (west side) and Prek Svay (east side).
How do you get to Koh Rong?
By ferry from Sihanoukville, roughly two to three hours depending on the boat and destination beach. There are no roads or cars on the island itself.
When is the best time to visit?
November to April, the dry season, is far easier for both weather and ferry crossings; May to October is monsoon season with heavier rain.
What is the bioluminescent plankton?
On calm, dark nights, disturbing the shallow water in parts of Koh Rong makes it glow blue — a natural phenomenon and one of the island's best-known night attractions.
How we choose what counts as a tiny house
Booking sites don’t have a “tiny house” category — they file these stays under the generic “Accommodation” label. So we check every place by name and type and list only genuine free-standing small homes: tiny houses (on wheels or fixed), cabins, glamping pods, shepherd huts, yurts, domes and tree houses. No hotel rooms, no ordinary apartments.
Prices and availability come from our booking partners and can change at any time. Booking links are affiliate links — booking through them supports this site at no extra cost to you. Property type is checked from the listing name and category; if you spot a mistake, let us know.
