Tiny House Atlas

Tiny houses at Mount Adams & Trout Lake

Mount Adams rises to 3,743 metres on the dry eastern side of the Washington Cascades, the second-highest peak in the state after Rainier, yet it sees only a fraction of Rainier’s visitors. Trout Lake and Glenwood are the two small farming communities at its southern foot, surrounded by the Gifford Pinchot National Forest; near Glenwood the Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge protects wet meadows where sandhill cranes nest. In summer climbers set off up the South Spur route and huckleberry pickers head into the forest. The Columbia River Gorge is about 45 minutes south, with the orchards and windsurfing beaches of Hood River on the Oregon bank.

How we choose what counts as a tiny house

No hotel rooms, no ordinary apartments.

The atlas currently lists 5517 hand-checked small stays across 485 destinations in 79 countries — 3731 of them additionally verified through independent research with a documented source.
